Chief Judge Mohammed Alim Hanif, age 65 who headed the Counter Narcotics Tribunal Appeals Court and Head of the Sentencing Commission at the Ministry of Counter Narcotics Afghanistan, was assassinated on his way to work.
Chief Judge Mohammed Alim Hanif was Strongly committed to tackling the drugs problems , he was a man of integrity and deeply committed to his job. He was never frightened of any consequences or threats on his life, therefore he took a tough stance on Drug Trafficking and Handed out stiff sentences to all those who deals with drug trafficking.
We were very shocked to hear that Chief Judge Mohammed Alim was murdered said Dr. Mohammed Zafar Deputy Minister of Counter Narcotics Ministry Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He was honest man and very capable in his job.
He Further Said This was cowardly act by drug mafia and they have to understand that this kind of shameless acts of terrorism cannot stop our counter narcotics efforts, we will not stop till every one who deals with drug trafficking go to jail and gets the maximum punishment.
The Deputy Minister said the services of Chief Judge Mohammed Alim Hanif to his nation in countering the narcotics issue will be always remembered Indeed we will double our efforts to bring all those to justice who Deals with Narco business.
